Goretska A. Psychological factors of compliance of patients with essential hypertension

Based on the complex psychognostic examination of 114 patients with I and II stages essential hypertension, the following typological peculiarities of their compliance were detected: mixed (65%), constructive (57%) and formal (10%) types, as well as the psychological factors of forming of the main types of compliance, namely: personal differences of patients with essential hypertension, peculiarities of their communication area, strategies for stress overcoming, locus of control, inward picture of the disease, dissociated personality and emotional disturbance, subjective estimate of quality of life. The contributory and adverse factors were singled out among the above-listed ones. The system of psychological intervention directed at the motivation for a treatment and the optimization of the compliance with treatment regimen by the patients of this category was created. The results of the developed system of psychocorrection proving its effectiveness were appraised.
