In these thesis for the first time in the national political science the attempt to create a coherent picture of the Ukrainian women participation in political and public life from the second half of the nineteenth century till present is made. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of women’s participation in social and political processes, taking into account cultural, socio-economic and political-institutional character factors are systematized.
