The thesis is devoted to the issues of deontological fundamentals of the advocacy in Ukraine. The research methods of the deontological fundamentals of the advocacy are discussed and it is proven that the complexity. The author discusses the importance of professional duty for the lawyers' proper conduct. Having studied the phenomenon of professional duty, the author has distinguished the features inherent in the lawyer's professional duty and formulated its concept. In its unity, the deontological fundamentals of the advocacy and deontological norms of the advocacy constitute the deontological fundamentals of the advocacy and enhance the quality of the advocacy in defending the person's interests. Suggestions on implementation of the deontological fundamentals of the advocacy in Ukraine on practical and scientific levels are made.
