The thesis is dedicated to the complex historical and legal analysis of the pecularities of organization and activity of the Galician vicegerency in the system of the state machine of Austria and Austria-Hungary (1849–1918). On the basis of the analyzed historical and legal documents, scientific literature and archival materials investigated the status of Galician province of state and legal system in Austria and Austria-Hungary during the 1849-1918 biennium The features regulate the formation of Galician province. The structure of the province, investigates service relationship in it. Characterized competencies and key objectives Galician province during 1849-1918.
