Kulyna Y. Casco auto insurance in the civil law of Ukraine.

The dissertation provides a theoretical research in the development of car insurance and the content of Casco auto insurance. It is divided into two aspects: rights and obligations of the parties and sets of conditions and clauses; conclusions, alteration and termination of insurance. It was found out that Casco auto insurance, “comprehensive insurance”, and “all-around insurance” have been used in Ukraine since the Soviet time. For this reason it has its own stages of formation and development. The dissertation analyzed features and forms of insurance, procedures for the conclusion of insurance, grounds and procedures for termination of Casco auto insurance as a type of property insurance. It studied the scope of insurance, insured event, amount of money that an insurer should pay in case of an insured event (insured sum of money), amount of insurance payment, terms and provisions for its payment, term of insurance as essence of the contract, and other clauses covered by Casco auto insurance. The dissertation reviewed events that cannot be considered to be the insured ones, so their occurrence is excluded from insurance coverage of Casco auto insurance. The research on Casco auto insurance in the civil law of Ukraine is based on the analysis of statutory enactments of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, on practice of holding this kind of insurance by insurance companies, and on judicial practice. There were developed specific proposals and operational guidelines on the improvement of the current legislation concerning Casco auto insurance in the civil law of Ukraine. "
