Essay

The present work is dedicated to solving an actual scientific task of modern pathophysiology- the study of immune, biochemical and microbiological criteria of predicting the de-velopment of chronic periodontitis complications in adults. The analysis of clinical and laboratory research was performed among 146 patients with chronic periodontitis. The content of species was surveyed along with immu-nosuppressive bacteria properties- agents of uncomplicated and complicated chronic periodontitis. It was revealed that species content and immunosuppressive properties of agents of uncom-plicated and complicated chronic periodontitis do not have essential differences. It was determined that all agents of perio-dontitis possess antilysocimal, anticomplementary activity, while their structural components peptidoglycans and lipopoly-saccharides capable to inhibit phagocytic activity of neutrophils and monocytes of human blood. Cellular and humoral immune factors were studied in patients with uncomplicated and complicated chronic periodontitis. Complicated forms of the disease proved to be developed on the background of more expressed immunodeficiency condi-tion and their development was accompanied by the increase of interleukin concentrations in the blood serum of patients with predominantly anti-inflammatory properties (IL-1beta, IL-6, IL-8, FNO-alfa) at a diminished interferon status. It was established that the development of complica-tions (periostitis, phlegmon) in patients with chronic periodon-titis occurs at more significant changes of POL activity, enzymatic system AOS and the system of prostaglandins.
