The thesis is devoted to researching the problematic field of criminal law protection of the local governmental administrations' authority. The effected analysis embraces the genesis of the domestic legislation covering the penal responsibility for attacking the local self-administration entities' officials; the regulatory environment of governmental entities' safe activity and the legal framework of local administration bodies' officials security measures both in Ukraine and as the international practice prescribes; the experience of foreign countries in the sphere of protecting the local governmental administrations' authority.
