Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to defining one of the most topical areas of modern cardiology - the development of testimony, and ways to restore and maintain sinus rhythm in patients with persistent form of atrial fibrillation and heart failure. Under the influence of monotherapy with the use of amiodarone sinus rhythm was restored by 68.6 % of patients with atrial fibrillation and heart failure. Predictors of transformation of the persistent form in the constant form are: age over 55 years of age, the severity of the stage of the heart failure IIA and more, the availability of post-infarction cardiosclerosis, violations of cerebral circulation and loss of consciousness in history, a long-term (over 7 years) history of atrial fibrillation, the size of the left atrium, more than 4,5 сm, effective atrial refractory period more than 270 ms, functional atrial refractory period more than 340 ms.
