Essay

The dissertation is devoted to optimization the treatment of hypertension at the ambulant polyclinic phase based on a complex assessment of factors that affect the control of the blood pressure (BP) and the quality of life (QOL). The developed tactics of following up with patients within six months allowed to improve the BP control. It is found that the adherence to the treatment affected the achievement of the target BP at the end of the study. The markers were defined which the probability of detection of low adherence to the treatment at the end of the study was increasing with. QOL of patients and its changes during treatment were reviewed. The indicators associated with achieving target BP were defined. The role of the latter in reducing of cardiovascular risk was assessed.
