Essay

The object of research is the process of strategic planning at the machine-building enterprises of Ukraine. The purpose of the thesis is the development, grounding theoretical and methodological approaches, and the development of theoretical and practical recommendations for the development and use of strategic planning in the domestic machine-building enterprises in accordance with national and international economic conditions. The author has used techniques: structural and logical and systematic analysis, synthesis, questioning, graphic and table methods, economically mathematical method, matrix method, expert evaluation and forecasting. The theoretical value lies in the development of definitions and conceptual framework for strategic planning of enterprises, improve the implementation model of strategic business on enterprises, the methods of selecting strategic planning’s models, classification of the principles, barriers, models of strategic planning. Academic novelty lies in the development of mechanism for calculating an indicator of the strategic development of the company, which is based on the use of quality of strategic planning and the level of success of the enterprise. The use of this indicator makes it possible to substantiate the impact of strategic planning on the final results of the company. The subject of research is a complex of theoretic, methodic and applied issues, associated with the implementation and application of strategic planning in the context of the management of engineering enterprises. Domestic enterprises of machine-building industry are the sphere of usage of the author’s recommendations.
