Mogdaleva I. Peculiarities of formation and development of marginal processes among the Ukrainian intelligentsia.

The research work has carried out a comprehensive analysis of various aspects of manifestation marginalized intellectuals as social community on the materials of Western, Russian and Ukrainian scientists. It has identified peculiarities of the understanding of the social category of "intellectuals" in the conservative and neoconservative discourse. Preconditions of a "new class" of intellectuals that emerged as a reaction to the controversial social reality of Western society have been analyzed. Current status situation in the Ukrainian society has been investigated, and the place of intellectuals in the professional structure has been defined. Empirical studies of self-identification of Donetsk modern intellectuals have been researched, and the features of its formation and social status have been revealed.
