. Dissertational work is devoted to the prediction and prevention of post surgical wound complications in the surgical treatment of patients with pathology of the abdomen, in combination with obesity. Clinical research of 273 patients was carried out. The study identified prognostic criteria that would allow to put into practice a method of pre- and post-operative prediction of post surgical wound complications. The degree of risk of post surgical wound complications determined by analysis clearly established parameters: body mass index (ІMT), a type of obesity, presence of concomitant somatic diseases, chronic heart failure, the duration of stay in the preoperative surgical hospital, the presence of maceration, online access, duration of operation, technical difficulties during surgery. Usage of a way of forecasting has enabled to activate the tactics of a method plastics choice, thus to increase efficiency of treatment of patients with with abdominal pathology of obesity.
