Ratnikov M. The U.S. European policy in the context of political transformation in the EU

Dissertation deals with a complex politilogical analysis of the evolution of the European estimation of the foreign policy of the USA in the context of political transformation in the EU; the work has ascertained conceptual and applicative aspects, problems and perspectives, factors and tendencies that determine the development of the foreign policy of the USA towards the European Union. The dissertation presents analysis of theoretical principles of the foreign policy of the USA; systematizes the conceptual approaches of American and European schools of the bilateral cooperation; analizes the peculiarities of the actions of the foreign policy of the USA and the EU in the present international system. This work analyzes the basic principles of the US-European relations in the modern Era; defines America's National Interests in the context of foreign policy in Europe; determines critical American approaches of the establishment to the European integration process and clears up the impact of political transformation in Europe to develop transatlantic strategic partnership. Taking into consideration the influence of globality factor the main directions of practical interaction between the USA and EU on the international arena are researched (politics, economics, security, institutional interaction), the peculiarities of the U.S. position in Eastern Europe are analyzed
