Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of conditions of deep water softening of water with high content of ions of hardness and mineralization by the reagent method on the combined use of highly basic aluminum content coagulants such as RIKS-A with lime and alkali. It is shown that the application of the above-mentioned reagents is achieved with reduced water hardness from 0,3-1,2 up to 3,1-36,4 meq/dm3. The influence of the reagent softening characteristics and the characteristics, form and consistency of slightly and strongly acid cation exchanger and anion exchanger on the effectiveness of softening and desalination of water, extraction efficiency cations of aluminum and iron, as well as the efficiency of extraction of chlorides, sulfates, nitrates and phosphates from the water. For the first time it is defined the parameters of electrochemical desalination of regeneration solutions of cation exchangers with high content of hardness ions, proposed a new scheme of processing regeneration solutions with high hardness ions and a new design of the cell, which ensures high efficiency of desalination solutions and sulfuric acid.
