Essay

Given dissertation offers a new method of human eye aberration refraction measuring. In comparison to already existing measuring methods it allows a more simple approach to acquire data on aberration state of eye in everyday ophthalmology practice. Theoretical positions of method, principle of work and system of aberrometer-refraktometer, are developed based on modified Foucault method. Established mathematical method for determining refractive error and astigmatism as well as making refraction cards by the proposed method. Experimentally tested the modified Foucault method with a specially designed installation and the physical model of optical system of an eye. Analyzed main methodological and instrumental errors of eye refractometry by modified method of Foucault. The requirements for the design and parametric optimization of the optical system measuring aberration refraction based on a modified method of Foucault are developed. Recommendations for the correct positioning of the device relative to the visual axis of the patient's eye are developed.
