Essay

The object of the research – macedonian issue in international relations in 1913-1920, attempt of its decision on the eve and during the First world war, and also at the Parisian peace conference in 1919-1920. The dissertation purpose: realization of the complex and system analysis of macedonian problem, that assumes definition of its place in the European politics, role and influence on a course of political and military events, illumination of positions of the large states and Balkan countries on macedonian question on the eve (1913-1914) and during the First world war (1914-1918), and also during peace settlement in 1918-1920. The methods: analysis, synthesis, description, generalization, classification, typologization, historical, logic; problem-chronological, historical-genetic, comparative, historical-comparative, system-functional. Scientific novelty: dissertation is devoted to the complex research of the Macedonian issue in international relations in the years 1913-1920. That is, with the signing of the Treaty of Bucharest in August 10 1913 after which Macedonia was divided following the Second Balkan War, and before the ratification of January 5, 1920 the Bulgarian Parliament Neuilly peace and Greek-Bulgarian Convention which defined the terms of the exchange of populations between the two countries, as well as the completion of 21 January of the same year of the peace conference in Paris; analysis of historical events of the rise of Macedonian issue as international conflict and its role in the foreign policy of great powers and also the international relations in Southeast Europe can lead to conclusion that the Balkan states only strove to expand its own territory, ignoring the interests of neighbors, and also interference of great powers to use the Macedonian issue as a tool for achieving their diplomatic interests, which prevented the Macedonian issue to be resolved by democratic way. Practical value of research: the materials of the dissertation can be used in comparative researches of a national question, at a spelling of the manuals on a history of Macedonia, during development of educational courses on a history of southern and western slavs, history of the First world war and international relations on Balkan; in work of the diplomats, which represent interests of Ukraine in Southeast Europe. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
