Prokopovych O. Stimulation of environmental and economic development of the furniture production based on cluster analysis

Object of research - environmental and economic development of furniture production in Ukraine. The purpose of research - creating optimization model to promote environmental and economic development of the furniture production in Ukraine based on clustering considering taking into account the existing potential, foreign and national clusters experience. Research methods - comparison, statistical methods, methods of economic Geography, the method of expert evaluation, graphic. Scientific novelty of research results: first the term "furniture cluster" which combines the classic features of the cluster with furniture production specialty is defined, the furniture cluster functioning model which stimulate its environmental and economic development was first developed. Improved: M. Porter's model "Diamond", which was supplemented by determinant "sustainable development ", which is closely related with other model factors and influence on assessment of furniture production existence; methodology of determining regions for creating of clusters, adding the method of factor localization by the shift-share method, what increased the objectivity of the results. Further developed: furniture cluster classification through identification and justification cluster's belonging to a particular several types by groups of classifications indication, positive environmental and economic effects of clustering of furniture production as a tool for sustainable development were identified, considering its characteristics and interactions between effects, assessment of efficiency and study the conditions of the furniture production in Ukraine by application of system methods. Theoretical and practical results: Theoretical and practical grounds of environmental and economic efficiency of furniture production stimulation were justified. Level of application: the research results are used by the Association "Wood processing and furniture cluster" for creating an effective partnership structures which help in promoting innovation, ecologization production of its members, establishing inter-and intra-industry cooperation. Some results of research are used in teaching of such educational disciplines "Cluster approach and cluster analysis in the forestry sector", "Organization of woodworking enterprises" and "Organization of production" at the Ukraine National Forestry University.
