The said process lasted 11- 12 thousand years, from the late Palaeolithic to the late 10th century BC. The thesis analyses the development of construction practice separately by historical epochs: Stone Age, Eneolithic, Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, Early Middle Ages, and by natural areas: the northern Black Sea, steppe, forest-steppe from the late Palaeolithic to 4th century BC in what is now Ukraine and Moldova.
