Uhnenko T. The Development of the People's assessors' Institute in the Soviet Ukraine : historical and legal aspects (1917 - 1991 years)

The legal status of People's assessors , their place and role in the administration of justice in the Soviet judicial system is carried out in the work. Particular attention is paid to the evolution of the legal status of People's assessors in different periods of development of the Ukrainian Soviet state, analyzed and identified the causes , nature and consequences of the changes that have occurred. Also, the practice of People's assessors, the effectiveness of their work in the area of justice and security and interests of the population are determined. The study formulates proposals to improve judiciary, criminal procedure law in the course of judicial reform in the formation of a democratic rule of law in Ukraine.
