Petryk O. Functional-semantic paradigm of verbal nouns in Ukrainian language.

For the first time in Ukrainian linguistics semantic and paradigmatic nature of deverbal nouns were taken under consideration based on systemic-structural and functional-semantic approaches. New is the attempt to create a functional-semantic classification of verbal nouns of subjective action in detailing. In the thesis the existence of automomous functional-semantic paradigm of deverbal nouns as an organic component of the vocabulary of Ukrainian language was substantiated. It was determined the content of the concept of "functional-semantic paradigm"; clarified the mechanism of semantic and grammatical transformations in the process of derivation; established markers of identity of such subparadigms as 'action', 'process', 'condition' according to the semantics of the classes of predicates; delineated the repertoire of differential signs, which determine the composition and structure of predicate names of action, process, condition; characterized the factors of verbs-motivators, which influence the formation and functioning of deverbal nouns of subjective action; defined specificity of semantic hierarchy of deverbal nouns, which are represented by subparadigms, microparadigms, semantic groups, semantic subgroups, semantic types; found their inherent features of the intra-system of the organization; revealed nuclear, nuclear-peripheral and peripheral ratio.
