Dissertation is devoted the problem of studies of student young people to the martial art, in particular Ju-jutsu. Found out the most informing indexes which characterize readiness of students to the studies a martial art. For the estimation of readiness of students to the studies a martial art tables. Certainly, that studies of students to the martial art most effective at distributing of annual educational the stages. For every stage tasks, maintenance, facilities and method, are certain, and organization of educational process is conducted in obedience to the developed pedagogical model. Set experimentally and efficiency of the program of the stage-by-stage mastering is tested practice by the students of the systematized educational material.
