The dissertation is devoted to the study the problem of social adaptation of people who suffer with epilepsy and psychological mechanism that influence for this process. The theoretical analysis of views on the problem of adaptation of people with psychological illnesses, reasons and features of its flow were defined. The main medical and psychological characteristics of people with epilepsy, arrangements and criterias which contribute to effective social adaptation and reasons that weaken adaptation process were discovered. The program of psychological help in social adaptation of people who suffer with epilepsy which includes individual and group psychotherapy, also psychological support people, related to the ill person were made and approbated.
