In the thesis carried out a comprehensive analysis of the functioning of the liberal-democratic movement in Ukraine. A definition and the ratio of the liberal-democratic values and principles of the Ukrainian national idea. Clarified the definition of "national idea" in terms of philosophical approach and role in the political process. The analysis of the liberal-democratic movement in Ukraine in the XIX-XX centuries, formed the basis on which conclusions about the social and political conditions of a liberal political institutions in our country. Analyzed the liberal-democratic principles of political party and state affairs. The dissertation is to reveal the nature and evolution of the crisis of liberal political structures found an association genesis Ukrainian liberal movement and the liberalization of the political structures in Europe. Clarified the peculiarities of liberal social organizations: trade unions, social movements and organizations, private and civil initiatives, etc. This work presents an analysis of the participation of liberal political parties in the electoral process in Ukraine, in which identified problems of electoral participation of such parties: the lack of a positive experience in conducting election campaigns; contradictory ideological principles and political heterogeneity of the various strategies of liberal parties, the lack of "persons" of the liberal political parties; detachment liberal political parties of Ukraine from the world of liberal society, the lack of sustainable electorate. In a revitalized political competition and electoral field, factors increasing the efficiency of the electoral liberal political parties.
