3. The thesis explores integral and differential features of action predicates and on this basis gives their semantic classification. The research reveals the integral features of action predicates: the dynamic nature of the denotational situation designated by the predicate, the activity of the subject (the agent) and the action control. The work describes subject and subject-object semantic types of action predicates. Each of them includes specific semantic groups of movement, human's social activity, sound formations, brain activity, behaviour, change in appearance or state of the subject (subject predicates of action) and groups of creation, destruction, change and relocation of an object, intellectual activity, attitude to a person and physical influence on an object (subject - object predicates of action).
