Skoreyko A. Strawberry blight (phytophthorosis) and biological rationale of prevention measures against its spread in conditions of Western forest Steppe of Ukraine

3. The thesis is dedicated to strawberry blight (phytophthorosis) investigation, development and improvement of protection measures directed to its spread restriction. It is established that in conditions of Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine, strawberry is infested with the agent Phytophthora сactorum Schrоet. In the thesis the research results are laid down concerning Phytophthora cactorum Schrоet spread, development and harmfulness. The research on incubation period of strawberry blight (phytophthorosis), wintering and infection spring recovery is conducted. The environmental effect on disease development, particularly strawberry blight (phytophthorosis) emergence and spread dependence on temperature, humidity and light is investigated. The assessment of 43 strawberry varieties resistance to Phytophthora cactorum Schrоet is performed. The effect of various agricultural, chemical and biological protection measures on strawberry blight (phytophthorosis) development is investigated.
