Essay

The thesis presents the results of research on the features of growth and development of plants of sugar sorghum, formation of its productivity, quality indicators of biomass of variety and hybrid depending on terms of sowing, seeding depth and density of standing plants. The effect of the studied factors on the duration of interphase and vegetative periods, field viability of seeds, tillering, plant height and caulis diameter, leaf area, net photosynthesis productivity, yield and quality parameters of biomass (dry matter and sugar content ) is studied, an economic and energy assessment of efficiency of cultivation of sugar sorghum for biofuel production is carried out. On the basis of results of researches for ensuring high efficiency of biomass it is recommended optimized elements of technology of cultivation of sugar sorghum under the conditions of the Forest-steppe of Ukraine.
