Essay

The aim of the study is to determine the basic regularities and formation methods of architectural and artistic expression of new buildings facades, creation of the peculiar historic and modern images that would complete the historical city structure on the level of renovation of composition shapes and street elements integrality. The object of the study is: the facades of new building in the historical environment of the city. The subject of the study is: the peculiarities of new buildings facades architectural and artistic organization in the system of historical street architecture. The methods of the study are: the investigation and the systematization of literature sources; the analysis of fulfilled and projected new buildings in the historical environment; comparative analysis (while integrating the scientific conceptions and observing the whole world architectural objects); the sociological interrogatory method; graphical and mathematic modeling. Also the important part of the study is the analysis of foreign construction experience and the interpolation of the conclusions to the examples of Kiev’s building. A scientific novelty of the thesis lies in the elaboration of theoretical models for about architectural and artistic shaping of facades of new buildings in the historical environment of thecities. These models could be recommended for usage in the architectural-urban practice of new construction in the historical areas of main Ukrainian cities including Kiev city. Exactly for Kiev city there were elaborated the precise practical recommendations.
