Essay

The thesis deals with new science-based approaches to defining the boundaries of the central business areas of cities (CBA), the system capacity required for the entire parking system of CBA and rational distribution directed of the total capacity for separate parking-lots as well as grounding of their location and the type of each parking-lot. There was also defined the relationship of the total demand for parking in the downtown with the difference between the total input and output of radial transport streams. The methods of transport zoning map, including defining the boundaries of the central business area on the basis of values of quantity assessment of the level of demand satisfaction for travel and parking have been improved. The software product support "Parking Planing System" created for decision-making automates all the procedures necessary to identify major parking system parameters: total capacity, deployment sites, the type and capacity of each parking-lot, SA limits of each parking lot, unserviceable areas and their demand for parking-lots.
