The thesis is an attempt of complex research of problems of criminal liability for willful murder committed with extreme cruelty. The notions of "murder" and "murder committed with extreme cruelty" are concretized. Objective and subjective features of murder committed with extreme cruelty are considered. Peculiarities of qualification and criteria of differentiation of willful murder committed with extreme cruelty and related crimes are studied. A set of suggestions directed at the perfection of the present-day criminal law and practice of its application are formulated and grounded.
