Essay

This thesis presented a new solution of scientific and practical problems of neonatology - prediction and prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants. Based on the epidemiological analysis, reliably significant perinatal factors in the mother-fetus-newborn identified the main predictors of bronchopulmonary dysplasia among risk groups. Based on a retrospective analysis of a prospective study and was first proved the value of early surfactant replacement therapy "to the first mechanical breath" in premature infants at risk for BPD. First to show that changes in the level of IL-1а and IL-4 leads to an immunological imbalance in preterm infants with BPD. Identified and substantiated reliable risk factors for bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants: respiratory therapy, symptoms of pulmonary hypertension, the presence of CMV. Been developed models predicting the risk of BPD and mortality in preterm infants with respiratory disorders.
