Research object: - an improvement of the cultivation technologies elements of millet varieties depending from factors: forecrop, fertilizer background, methods of soil treatment, method of sowing. Aim - to determine the features of the yield forming and grain quality by the modern millet varieties and on the basis to improve the elements of the cultivation technology of high-quality millet grain for the conditions of east part of Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, and also to define potential of the productivity of varieties depending on a forecrop, methods of soil treatment, fertilizer background, methods of sowing. Methods - field, laboratory, thermostatical-weighted, chemical, biochemical, statistical, calculated. Results: improved technology of the cultivation of millet, that provides the yield at of 2.8-3.9 t/ha level. Productive testing and introduction have been carried out in SE EE "Komsomolets" of the Lozova district and FE "Kyiv Rus" of Pervomayskiy district of the Kharkiv region on the a general area of 130 ha has provided an increasing millet yield on 0.64-0.71 t/ha. Novelty - for the first time in the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine conditions: the features of manifestation of adaptivity by the modern varieties of millet to the zonal cultivation conditions is determined; influence of the elements of cultivation technology and their complex interaction on grain yield and quality of millet varieties is educed; the level of intensity on the norms of rates and coefficients of the use of basic elements of mineral nutritions by varieties of millet depending on forecrops and fertilizer backgrounds are estimated; economic and power efficiency of millet cultivation in the region with unstable wetting according to the models of technology is defined. For the conditions of the region the elements of growing technologies of modern varieties of millet by their optimization are improved. Sector - agriculture.
