Object - neologisms, functioning in the titles of the Ukrainian periodic Internet editions; the aim is to establish the structural-semantic and functional-stylistic peculiarities of neologisms in the titles of on-line editions; methods that are used: methods of correlation of language phenomena with extralingual objects, observation and solid sampling, comparison, descriptive, derivative analysis, componential analysis, quantitative calculations, contextual analysis; novelty - for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the structural and semantic typology of neologisms used in the titles of online publications is presented along with the determination of their stylistic features: the peculiarities of the language of modern mass media are characterized and the essence and nature of the phenomenon of neologization are clarified; the scientific parameterization of phenomenon of occasinality is completed; the functions of titles of Internet editions are outlines; Dana the structural-semantic typology of neologisms used in the titles of on-line editions is presented; the stylistic functions of neologisms in the titles of Internet editions are defined and described; results - the actual material, the main points and conclusions of the thesis can be used in lexicographic practice (for compiling the various types of dictionaries of, in particular, neologisms, occasional words, explanatory, semantic, derivational, translative and other), and also in the educational process - for the teaching of courses and special courses on word formation, stylistics, lexicology, phraseology, text linguistics at the faculty of Philology, faculty of journalism; industry - linguistics.
