Korobeinikova T. Developing Future Teachers’ English competence in Dialogical Speech with the usage of information and communication technologies

The thesis deals with the developing of English competence in Dialogical Speech of the future teachers of foreign languages. The methodology of developing English competence in Dialogical Speech of the future teachers of foreign languages with the information and communication technologies use has been theoretically substantiated and practically elaborated. The elements of the competence in English Dialogical Speech have been examined, and its educational aims have been specified for a future teacher at the primary grade of university study. Psychological and didactic fundamentals of computer use in foreign language teaching have been reviewed. Theoretical backgrounds were used to create a subsystem of exercises and a special multimedia computer program "Switch on Your English". The model of students’ study at the primary grade of linguistic universities has been practically elaborated. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology of forming future teachers’ English competence in dialogical speech has been verified and confirmed during cross-experimental teaching. Based on outcomes resulting from the experimental validation of the new methodology, methodological recommendations for forming English competence in dialogical speech by means of the computer program for future teachers of foreign languages have been developed.
