Dharb A. Extending the Lifespan of Urban Housing Stock and its Elements by Improving Restoration Technology

The paper is devoted to the solution of an important applied-science problem of improving organizational and technological solutions in facade restoration sphere. It was determined that one of the efficient methods of restoring building facades is application of coatings containing ceramic pigment powders and silicate binding agent as the main ingredients. Dependences of effect of organizational and technological factors via facade fabricability coefficient on productivity indicators of the means of mechanization and specific reduced costs were established, based on which a methodology of quantitative assessment of the degree of each factor's effect. A methodology of optimizing selection of the means of comprehensive mechanization of facade restoration work was developed. Organizational and technological solutions in facade restoration sphere improving operating longevity of urban housing stock were proposed. The results of scientific provisions and conclusions are theoretically substantiated, tested and implemented in the practice of designing and performing facade restoration work.
