Pinyazhko T. Architecture of Galician fortifications of middle of 19th century

The study analyzes phenomenon Galician fortifications mid-nineteenth century, as a unique phenomenon of synthesis of military defense and stylistic and architectural ideas of his time. First observed interconnection architecture of elements of Galicia fortifications of this period with searching for the nation- state identity of the Austrian Empire during the transition union-feudal social structure to the nation-capitalist. Also for the first time observed link of these elements with traditions of Renaissance and Venetian of building of the XVI century, which at that time formed the basis of styling Austrian military facilities. Formulated the basic guidelines for modern use, conservation and adaptation research facility.
