Essay

The results of geographical-ecological researches of peat soils of Small Polissya are presented. The changes of peat soils after drainage, agricultural use and degradation processes are investigated. The changes of morphological characteristics, physical, physical-chemical properties, the gross chemical and mineralogical composition of peat horizons and pyrogenic formations are revealed. The recommendations for optimizing the  use of drained peat soils and pyrogenic formations are presented.
