Berezovska-Savchuk N. Distributive Characteristics of State Predicates in Literary Ukrainian

The object: adverbial and verbal predicates with the semantics of state in the Ukrainian literary language; the aim: to elicit and expound distributive characteristics of the state predicates, determined by semantic and syntactical structure of the sentences in which they serve as a nuclear component; methods: descriptive, distributive, the method of componential analysis, the method of opposition; the novelty: distributive qualities of predicates of different parts of speech with the semantics of state in the Ukrainian language are analyzed; the components of a possible environment of these predicates are stratified; the specificity of connections between the components in the sentence structure as well as their status are determined; findings: the differentiation and classification of major sentence models with the semantics of state as well as their types is worked out with regard to obligatory and optional distribution; the branch: the Ukrainian language.
