The thesis puts forward the methodical system of preparation of future primary school teachers for teaching younger schoolchildren to solve plot mathematical problems (goal, content, forms, technologies and learning tools), the effectiveness of which is proved during the pedagogical experiment. The goal of the methodical system is the formation of a future primary school teacher's methodical competency for solving plot mathematical problems. The learning content is defined through knowledge, skills and experience in teaching younger schoolchildren to solve plot mathematical problems that are the basis for separate components of a methodical competency. The method of conducting lectures is improved by the introduction of a problem-based learning technology. The method of conducting practical classes is improved by means of interactive, situational and contextual learning technologies. The organization of students' individual work and project activity is improved by means of a training manual on electronic media "The teaching methods for solving plot mathematical problems for 1-4-th grades schoolchildren".
