In the dissertation the research into manifestation of dialectal features оn phonetical and morphological levels in the language of 16th-17th century didactic Gospels has been carried out on the material of 20 manuscripts. The methodological bases of separating dialectal features in ancient texts have been outlined, the principle and basic criteria for the identification of these elements have been formulated. The language of didactic Gospels reveals many features which are typical for the most of south-western Ukrainian dialects, especially for the speech of the Carpathian area.
