Essay

The thesis examines the nature and role of wage labor in social reproduction and its relationship with the progressive development of socio- economic relations. Done retrospective analysis of basic economic concepts, which enables to understand the fundamental provisions, laws and principles underlying the modern scientific approaches to the interpretation of the category "wage labor". The thesis is proved that government policies regulating the employment of hired labor in Ukraine should refocus on economic targets, such as economic growth, to eliminate or mitigate the socio- cultural issues and improve the overall psychological state of the labor potential in the State. Carried out a comprehensive assessment of condition and trends of socio-economic relations in the post-socialist countries and in Ukraine. Grounded authors' definition of the interpretation of category of wage labor as the implementation of the entire set of accumulated skills and abilities acquired by the employee, that allows you to tailor a competitive advantage through transformation and change in value due to supply and demand regulated formal and informal institutional norms of society.
