Essay

Object of research - Kaposi eczema. The purpose of research - improving the efficiency of treatment of Kaposi eczema by examining of virus profile, interferon status and developing reasonable pathogenetic therapy. Methods: clinical, immunological, biological, statistical. The thesis deals with the problem of the increasing treatment efficacy in the patients with herpetic eczema by extending the diagnostic procedures, providing differentiated therapy accounting for viral profiles and interferon activity in the patients. The high level of viral superinfection in Kaposi eczema patients under study has been demonstrated. In vivo and in vitro, the advantages of the complex treatment regimens have been proved. The pathogenetically based treatment schedule has been put forward comprising interferon, Suprastin and Cefazolin (in case of bacterial complication) besides Acyclovir. The complex therapy resulted in reducing the duration of hospital stay and accelerating the recovery of the patients. Results have been implemented in the practice of clinical dermato-venerological dispansery of Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, Kyiv municipal clinical dermato-venerological hospital, dermato-venerological dispansery of Podilsk district of Kiev.
