Essay

.Goal of the study is to identify features style of temple architecture Chernigovschiny (XIX - XX c.) in the context of the history of temple construction in Ukraine based on the analysis of known and first author found text and image data. research object is stone and wooden Orthodox churches Chernihiv Region XIX - early XX century. Purpose of the study: the stylistic features and patterns of formation of temple architecture Chernigovschiny (XIX - XX c.) as an integral link in the line of church building in Ukraine. Research methods are based on: analysis of the complex social, climatic and urban conditions of formation of the temple buildings Chernigov region of Ukraine, identifying historical factors that influenced the architectural styles of the respective periods, methods of comparative and statistical analysis, systematization and generalization of graphic design. The technique involves research: the study of literature, summarizing good practices regarding the formation of temple buildings Chernigov region; of field's surveys, sta-tistical data collection and analysis, analysis and planning of major functional elements of the temple buildings, taking into account national circumstances, the use of the method of idealization to develop an architectural model of the facade of the temple. Scientific novelty is the first time presented the evolution of style trends in church architecture period of classicism, historicism and modernism retrospektyvizmu and made into a single system for the territory of Chernihiv region, produced scientifically sound periodization stylistic changes in the architecture of temples of Chernihiv Region XIX - early XX century; defined style main features of each stage, introduced to the scientific use of historical and architectural archival material not previously published (found and re-covered the drawing of plans, facade, architectural details) which allow to organize and create a coherent picture of the temple archi-tecture of Chernihiv Region XIX - early XX century.
