Oliynik D. The effectiveness of local governments

Object of the research is the activity of local authorities. The aim of research is grounding of theoretical basis and analyzing of practical recommendations as to efficiency improvement of the activity of the local authorities in Ukraine. Methods of the research are general scientific and special scientific methods. Practical importance of results achieved, lies in the possibility of their implementation in the activity of local authorities, which helps to increase the efficiency of a particular booly of power together with the system of public administration in general. Scientific novelty of the results lies in complex research of theoretical provisions and development of practical recommendations as to efficiency improvement of local authorities activity in Ukraine on the basis of modern organizational and legal factors and foreign experience. For the first time, the mechanism of efficiency improvement of the activity of local authorities. It is improved: scientific approaches to the increase of local authorities efficiency the mechanism of evaluation of local authorities activity, the mechanism of territory positioning. Further developed was generalization of scientific approaches to understanding of efficiency local authorities activity, per iodization of development of the Law of Ukraine on the problem of measurement, evaluation and improvement of efficiency of the bodies of power activity at the time of its independence, determination of the components of the process of change of the local authorities into organizations, that study.
