Object - self-regulation of the preschoolers' behavior; objective - determination of the peculiarities of the behavior self-regulation in the elder preschool age, the ways of its optimization by means of a narrative role game; methods - theoretical analysis, systematization and generalization of the psychological data related to the research problem, establishing experiment, forming experiment, mathematical statistics methods; novelty - the 1st determination of the relation between anxiety and the types of the preschoolers' subjective regulation occurring in the degree of their behavior autonomy or dependence; improving of psychological diagnostics methods for the elder preschoolers by creating a complex methodology including the following blocks: behavioral, cognitive, temporal, emotional, reflexive; improved characteristics of self-regulation of the elder preschoolers' behavior by defining connection between such its indicators as the anxiety level, time orientation, subjective regulation, memorizing randomness; extension of the notion of the elder preschoolers' behavior self-regulation by integration of time orientation into its indicators; further development of the means of developing impact of the elder preschoolers by creating a program stimulating a formation of self-regulation in conditions of a narrative role game taking into account its conceptual (narrative) and formal (chronological) characteristics; results - creation of the program of the elder preschoolers' behavior self-regulation development, definition in the course of the research work of peculiarities of psychological mechanisms of a narrative role game and self-regulation of the elder preschoolers' behavior, the diagnostics complex designed and applied in the work may be used in practice of diagnostic, developing and correction work of the psychologists of preschool educational establishments, the research results can be used in the process of professional training and increase of professional level of practical psychologists; sphere - psychology.
