The thesis is devoted to the search for the new prospective herbal substances with the anticonvulsant activity from herbs of the Solanaceae family. Content of the main groups of the biologically active substances in the aerial parts of herbs of the Solanaceae family and their extracts is determined. Level of the anticonvulsant activity of aqueous, aqueous-alcohol and alcohol extracts from the aerial parts of herbs of the Solanaceae family is determined on the model of the pentyltetrazole convulsions at the animals. Correlation of dependence of anticonvulsant activity indexes from the content of flavonoids was discovered.
