Nedostrelova L. Energy characteristics of atmosphere during blocking over Europe

The object is the blockings over Europe; the goal is to reveal the features of energy characteristics for blockings; methods are the statistical time series processing, weather analysis, developed software packages; the results are: the scheme of energy exchange between a blocking anticyclone and environment (cyclones and atmospheric fronts) was described; the balance of energy forms during blocking was quantitatively shown; the three-dimensional structure for transformations of atmospheric energy was examined; the stages of blocking anticyclone development in terms of atmospheric energetic - initial, interaction of blocking anticyclone and environment, maximal development, and decay - are defined; the novelty is the study of energetic for blocking anticyclone during their interaction with cyclones and atmospheric fronts; the implementation degree - implemented; the branch of using - hydrometeorological centres.
