Oshurok D. Wind energy resources in Ukraine under the current climatic conditions.

The thesis is devoted to the research of the current state of wind energy resources over the territory of Ukraine with the applying of specialized meteorological software and using information collected during the climatological period of 1981–2010. The analysis of wind speed and direction spatiotemporal distribution was performed over the territory of Ukraine for the current climatological period (1981–2010) based on the sub-daily measurements on the meteorological stations network. The maps of mean resultant vector of surface wind were compared to the data of average sea level pressure. In order to analyze wind conditions in more detail there were selected 12 stations with the lowest horizon closure in different landscape zones – the forest zone (Sarny, Chernihiv), the forest-steppe (Vinnytsia, Sumy), the steppe (Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Mysove), the Carpathians (Uzhhorod, Plai, Mizhhir’ya) and the Crimean mountains (Ai-Petri, Nikitsky Sad). The main spatiotemporal patterns of wind regime have been proved.
