Holodyuk Y. Pragmatic Dimensions of the Ukrainian-language Internet Discourse.

In the dissertation the pragmatic load of linguistic units that are specific to the Ukrainian-language Internet communication is analyzed at the levels of utterance (micropragmatics) and discourse (macropragmatics). The study revealed several distinctive micropragmatic means that are used by speakers on the Internet, namely: emoticon, Internet stage direction, colloquial abbreviation, nickonym. With consideration of the vocabulary used by Internet speakers, some macropragmatic aspects of the Net communication have been analyzed, namely: the specificity of functioning of cognitive and pragmatic dominant Google, violations of communicative etiquette and their denominations, typical characteristics of code switching from conventional to dialectal.
