The object - society tales by N.A.Durova; the aim - to give thorough analysis of the problematic and poetics of the society tales by N.A.Durova; to define their place in the literary process of the first half of the XIX century; methods - comparative, intertexual, biographic, historical and sociological, contextual; novelty - against the contemporary literary context a detailed analysis of the poetics and problematic of the society tales by N. Durova has been done for the first time; the literary study resulted in presentation of the peculiarities of the problematic and poetics of the society tales by N.Durova; classification of the heroes' images according to their specific genre nature has been conducted; tale "Oboroten" has been introduced for scientific use; results - can be used in the lectuers "History of the Russian literature of the first half of the XIX century" in higher education establishments, in special study courses and colloquiums dedicated to the society tales, problems of the poetics of N.Durova, as well as in the reference books on the literary analysis; branch - philology.
