Skydanchuk S. Special subjects teaching methodology, based on practical "de facto" simulators, in marine engineers' vocational education system

The thesis covers analyzing and searching the possible ways of solving the today's problems in the national marine engineering vocational education system. The methodology itself involves educational content modules of lectures, practical training, lab works and is able to solve the next educational tasks: studying ship power plants' construction and operating principle; studying the theory of the processes those taking place in the ship power plants; preparation the ship power plant prior to start; start of the ship power plant, servicing it during operation and its stop; adjustment of the power plant to achieve the best operating conditions; troubleshooting and repair engineering onboard the vessel. During the science research the author developed and implemented in studying process the Auxiliary Boiler КОАВ-63 type practical "de facto" simulator.
